Santé’s® Employee Vaccination Rate Nearly Doubles Through Innovative Educational Campaign

Increase in employee vaccination rate climbs from 40 percent to 90 percent

Santé has many things to celebrate this year. Their employee COVID-19 vaccination rate went from 40 percent to 90 percent.  According to Sr. V.P. of Clinical Operations and Compliance, Joyal Simmons, their positive, educational employee vaccination campaign resulted in 997 employees being vaccinated.

“The vaccination added an extra layer of protection for employees and their guests from the severe dangers of Covid-19. We achieved this by listening to, educating and communicating with our staff about the importance of getting vaccinated,” said Simmons.

Leadership listened to their employees and provided answers to their questions and concerns. Information was shared through Town Halls, targeted one-on-one meetings, The Give It Your Best Shot drawing and training for their management teams. This resulted in 90 percent of their employees selecting to get vaccinated with only 10 percent or 114 employees declining to get inoculated due to religious beliefs or medical exemption.
