I came to the United States in 1995 under an H1A visa – which was a non-immigrant/temporary worker classification that was introduced by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services in 1989 to specifically address the lack of nurses in the United States. I was extremely excited to move overseas and work in a profession that is extremely rewarding in so many facets. After a few years and meeting eligibility criteria for permanent residency, I applied and successfully received my naturalization as a United States citizen. Since my arrival in the US, I was blessed with several nursing and leadership opportunities that span from acute care nursing to skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and senior living.
I joined Santé in 2013 as the Director of Clinical Services at Santé of Surprise. In 2014, I was deployed to provide guidance with nursing and facility operations at Anderson House and Anderson Plaza (now Laurel Cove) in Washington. After completing this assignment, I assumed the role of Regional Clinical Services Director in Arizona. In my regional role, I was instrumental in maintaining substantial compliance and achieving deficiency-free surveys in the transitional rehabilitation centers (TRC) in Arizona. In 2016, I was promoted to Vice President of Clinical Operations and spearheaded all clinical programs and regulatory compliance in the TRCs. Because of my operations leadership background and as needs arose, I was deployed as Interim Administrator for the TRCs in Arizona.
I hold a Master of Science in Nursing degree and a Master’s in Business Administration with concentration on Healthcare Management. I received my Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing in 2002 and I maintain professional licensure as a Registered Nurse in Arizona and Washington. I am also a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Arizona and a certified NHA-preceptor.
My passion in enhancing the total patient experience drives my clinical team and I toward quality care. We strongly affirm the core values of Santé and believes in the culture of excellence.
